Coaching Services
I’m willing to bet you started graduate school with interest, passion, and drive. If you now feel like you’ve lost some of that and, as a result, struggle with motivation, you are not alone.
I work with graduate students and other academics one-on-one, in teams, and groups to help identify and leverage strengths so you feel excited to engage with your studies. When you work with me, you will better define your goals, identify your resources and challenges, reduce your stress, and better manage your time.
I have experience with a wide range of graduate students, but have special interests in supporting students in education and STEM fields, those maintaining full-time jobs while pursuing higher-education, and graduate students who are also parents.

I meet with my individual coaching clients 2-3 times per month, and follow up regularly using an informal chat application. Coaching clients can also receive asynchronous writing feedback each month.

Graduate students are often assigned to labs or research groups where you need to pursue your own research objectives while working on a team to further a larger research agenda. I work with such teams to build cohesion, leverage teams strengths, identify goals and opportunities and, when necessary, mediate conflicts so both individuals and the team can thrive.

In group coaching cohorts, up to 10 graduate students from a variety of locations and fields meet over the course of six weeks to build connections for ongoing support and accountability. I offer group coaching in collaboration with Dr. Erin McTigue of The Positive Academic. Find more information by navigating to my Group Coaching page.
